This policy explains what personal data Marbella Plumber collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain’s Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Marbella Plumber, a plumbing business based in Calahonda, Mijas, Málaga, Spain.
- Email: info@marbellaplumber.com
- Phone: +34 951 127 041
What data we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and carry out the work:
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and the property address where the work is needed.
- Enquiry details — what you tell us about the problem, and any photos or videos you send.
- Communication records — calls, WhatsApp messages and form submissions, so we can follow up and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Technical data — basic, anonymous information about how the website is used (pages visited, device type). This is not used to identify you.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not ask for them by message. Payment is arranged directly with you.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and quoting for work | Steps taken at your request before a contract |
| Carrying out and arranging the work | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping records of jobs, quotes and warranties | Legitimate interest — running the business and honouring warranties |
| Responding to complaints or legal claims | Legitimate interest — protecting our legal position |
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share your data only where necessary:
- Suppliers — when we need to order parts or materials for your job.
- Formly (form.getformly.com) — the service that delivers the contact and booking forms on this site to our inbox. It receives what you type into a form, and its own privacy policy applies to how it handles that.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — website traffic measurement. It records how visitors reach and move around the site: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and referring source. We use it only to understand which pages are useful. It is loaded only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our hosting and email providers — the companies that serve this website and run our mailbox.
- Authorities — where the law requires it.
Any provider acting on our behalf is only allowed to use your data for the purpose we gave it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work — up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Completed jobs — up to 6 years, because of warranty and tax obligations.
- Accounting records — as long as Spanish tax law requires.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
- see a copy of the data we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email info@marbellaplumber.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) — www.aepd.es.
Cookies
This website uses two kinds of cookie.
Necessary cookies make the site work — remembering your cookie choice, for example. These are always set, because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. They tell us which pages people visit, how they found us, roughly where they are, and what device they used. We use this only to improve the site. These are set only if you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookie is written and no data is sent to Google.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser settings, or by using your browser’s private or “do not track” mode. The site works fully either way.
Google’s own handling of analytics data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another website, its own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how that site handles your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
